The organizations listed below serve immigrants in Tennessee. Many work with local social service providers.

The Community Legal Center helps low-income immigrants with cases in Immigration Court. Services cost as little as $20 and include:

  • Asylum,
  • U-visas and T-visas,
  • Status change, and
  • Voluntary departure.

  • Process paperwork (BIA certified for a fee)
  • With counseling
  • Get temporary protective status
  • Replace or renew documents
  • Get your family back together
  • File for permanent residency or citizenship
  • Marriage or relative petitions 
  • With travel documents
  • VAWA (Violence Against Women Act)
  • Forms and photos

Some staff are bilingual, but it is best to bring your own interpreter.

TN JFON is part of the United Methodist Committee on Relief (UMCOR) national network of immigration legal clinics. TN JFON provides high-quality, free legal services for low-income immigrants. They also engage the faith community in advocacy on behalf of immigrants in our community.

TN JFON has free immigration legal services clinics on the third Saturday of each month between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. at Hillcrest United Methodist Church in Nashville. TN JFON also helps clinic clients get services and represents them in immigration court.
